FLOWSERVE BCV220 | New Flood Control Pump Station in Dallas

The pump rotating element is one of four on their way from the Flowserve facility in Hengelo, The Netherlands to Dallas Texas where they will go in a new flood control pump station being constructed.  These pumps are so large that the volute and suction bell are constructed of concrete.  The project team is standing in/around one of these Pullout Units.  It is rated for a flow rate of 220,000 gpm at 58 ft of head.  Operating speed is 207rpm.  It is drive by a 3,750hp electric motor.  Operation is scheduled for 2017.
